Studio Monkey Shoulder: An Open Call for India’s Grassroots Music Communities
Studio Monkey Shoulder is back for a third year, continuing our mission to champion innovative grassroots music communities around the world.
This year we’re digging deeper into one country – India, with a curated residency programme.
From DIY sound system culture and underground club nights to record shops and community radio stations, we’re teaming up with the people, places, and sounds shaping India’s independent music culture.
We’re inviting applications from grassroots music collectives across India to co-create a day within our residency programme at Oddbird Theatre, Delhi, 1-6 December.
Are you part of a grassroots music collective in India looking for a physical space to develop, share and showcase projects that bring people together through music?
Whether you want to showcase a new project, organise a listening session, host a creative workshop, or simply celebrate your community is all about – we want to hear from you.
Applications are open until 1st November 23:59 [IST]. Applicants must be aged 25+ and based in India
