Recording out of Taipei, Melting Part’s radio program is dedicated to the synergy of sound and movement, with a spotlight on Taiwan. “Degrees” extends from their beginnings–a basement jam for local dancers and musicians to experiment, share, and play.

Later on, host WADE DAO is joined by world renowned vibraphonist and bassist Chien Chien Lu & Richie Goods (known as "CONNECTED"). This episode exclusive excerpts of their interview, as well as live show recordings with Joe Trane. 

Chien Chien Lu is a renowned Taiwanese vibraphonist and percussionist with a classical background who transitioned to jazz in the U.S., joining the Jeremy Pelt Quintet and gaining recognition from the Grammy Awards as an emerging artist. 

Richie Goods is an acclaimed American jazz bassist and producer who is known for his work with artists like Alicia Keys and Chris Botti.

DJ WHILES (also known as YLS) is a multidisciplinary artist embedded in Taipei’s cultural landscape. As a dancer, DJ, and member of creative agency Melting Part, he works through multiple mediums to innovate new forms of awe and inspiration. 

WADE DAO is an artist based in Taipei known for his work as a host/MC and independent musician. He is currently based in Taipei, where he makes art, performs as a member of the music collective NOD TOWN, jazz collective 爵犬 (Joe Trane) and serves as co-director of the creative agency Melting Part.
