Recording out of Taipei, Degrees by Melting Part is dedicated to the synergy of sound and movement. The show extends from their beginnings – a basement jam for local dancers and musicians to experiment, share, and play.
In this episode, WADE DAO and DJ WHILES spotlight the artists and stories behind Melting Part’s own event SoMO Experience – a creative experiment centred on the idea of the circle, where dancers, musicians, and audiences come together to play, explore, and connect. The event took place in November 2025 in Taipei.
The show opens with a curation by WHILES, featuring music from the musicians who powered the dance floors at SoMO. Moving into excerpts from DJ sets by Blksoap, SPELL and Mark de Clive-Lowe, recorded during their radio session at TOHA Studio. At the end of each set, they have a brief conversation with WADE DAO on experiencing music and movement cultures in Taipei.
The episode concludes with WADE DAO sharing a personal selection of music that traces the relationship between samples and beats, bringing the first season of Degrees on WWFM full circle.
