To Raise an Artist is hosted by Bobby Brown, artist manager and programme lead for Future Bubblers. He explores the ecosystems that shape, sustain and sometimes fail emerging artists. Inspired by the African proverb and Elijah’s Yellow Squares thinking, the show looks beyond individual talent and asks: what infrastructure does an artist actually need to thrive?

Live from WOH Radio stage, Bobby brings together reflections from artist development, public-sector culture, the commercial music industry, grassroots community work, funding, management and creative enterprise.  Rooted in Bobby’s work across Future Bubblers, Lighthouse, The New Society and his concurrent Future Leaders Fellowship, he explores the future of artist development as a shared responsibility between artists, communities, institutions, funders, managers, audiences and industry.
