Lupini explores the history of shared houses as a crucible for creativity. From the 1920's Harlem rent parties that were critical to the birth of jazz, to the 1970's art squat scenes that brought about punk, it's communal housing that has held space for culture when formal spaces have failed us.

37% of our venues have closed in the last 6 years – tomorrow's formative genres will not come from our nightclubs but from our bedrooms and house shows. These semi-public, semi-private spaces try to sit outside of regulation and extractive modes of capital, operating on trust and reciprocity. Documentation is often opaque and secretive.
