For this special one-hour selection, Estonian producer Misha Panfilov celebrates the 100th birthday of legendary Soviet composer Alexander Zatsepin.
Best known for his iconic film and animation soundtracks, Zatsepin composed music for dozens of films, wrote hundreds of songs, built his own electronic instruments, and became one of the most innovative studio experimenters in Soviet popular music, constantly exploring new possibilities with tape, synthesizers and sound production.
For this mix, Misha has picked some of his favourite recordings from the 1960s through the 1980s, offering WorldWide FM listeners a chance to discover the extraordinary musical world of one of the twentieth century’s most original composers!
