This New Voices EDITION sees Dimitra Zina move through jazz fusion, broken beat, and experimental sounds, with the second hour dedicated to the musical world and influences of her guest, Dumama.
The Berlin-based South African sonic poet, composer, and musician joins Dimitra for a conversation around her debut solo album "Towards an Expanse", released on Soundway Records, and the six-year journey behind it. Rooted in voice, the uHadi, and electronic experimentation, Dumama’s work brings personal memory and ancestral sonic lineages into dialogue while exploring grief, displacement, belonging, and reclamation.
