In this opportunity Nachete recorded this hour-long show Rio de la Plata Groove in Buenos Aires mainly selecting records from Argentina & Uruguay and some CDs: many candombe tunes (from the 70s & 80s), some Brazilian influences (including two covers of Chico Buarque sung in Spanish), fusion from Melopea label & jazz.
I had the chance to speak with the musician Coqui Reca from the band El Calefon (a band formed in Switzerland in the beginning of the 80s which was formed by two Argentineans, a Brazilian percussionist and international musicians making south-american music) who told us a bit about the re-release of the album "Salir del Agujero" soon on vinyl by AOTN from Scotland. We're gonna listen to another of his projects called Canyengue, recorded in London by the end of the 90s featuring Uruguayan musicians, making a "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" version in candombe rhythm.
Also features songs by Liliana Herrero, Quintino Cinalli, Dogliotti, Rodolfo Alchourron, Buenos Aires Jazz Fusion , Los Musicos Del Centro and many other groups from Rio de la Plata.
