Palestinian, Lebanese & British DJ Kamar (pronounced Amar) presents Tealeaves, dedicated to exploring sound through migration.

In each show, Kamar platforms the sounds and genres that have shifted, moulded, formed and evolved through migration - the migration of ideas, and of people. Expect the sounds of movement and of many spaces and places.

This month, Kamar welcomes French-Senegalese powerhouse anaiis, to share stories, reflections and selections. Occupying the space between diverse styles, anaiis is a child of the diaspora - having lived in Toulouse, Dakar, Oakland, Dublin, New York, and now London, she writes from an observatory lens through her experience as a Black woman. 

Nostalgically looking back she states that "being an artist has become a part of my identity and personality, rather than just an activity or passion I was pursuing.” Alluringly singing about identity, grief and healing, anaiis has anchored her commitment to music.
